Morris County Historical Society Exhibition
Morris County Through the Lens of Time:
A Photographic Journey by Xiomaro

The Morris County Historical Society ran an exhibition at Acorn Hall through January 7, 2024 focusing on 8 Morris County historical sites, one of which is the Orchard Street Cemetery. Acclaimed photographer Xiomaro visited these sites specifically to capture images for this exhibition. Artifacts from each of the sites are included in the photographic exhibition. The Orchard Street Gatehouse Historical Association lent the exhibition several items to Acorn Hall and the Morris County Historical Society.
Pathways of History
The Orchard Street Gatehouse Historical Association has been a member of the Morris County Pathways to History event for several years. Each year, we focus on an aspect of the cemetery in creating a tour of the cemetery. One year we focused on the veterans buried in the cemetery paying special attention to those who died in the service of their country. We have also focused on the art of the cemetery as we looked at the symbolism and beauty of the gravestones and monuments that fill the cemetery grounds.

We look forward to this years event as it is an opportunity for us to showcase the historical nature of the cemetery and Gatehouse.
