Veterans

Veterans in Orchard Street Cemetery

There are a number of veterans in the Orchard Street Cemetery dating back to 5 men who were soldiers or sailors during the War of 1812.  During our research over the past several years, we have found and confirmed at least 5 veterans who were not recognized as such and added them to our list.  Some of these veterans died during their service.  Some were killed in action, some died as a result of injuries sustained in battle, others died due to illness or accidents.  They died at Gettysburg, Soissons, and even in Dover.
